While we Google suspects of working on a micro-blogging search engine, Bing announces that it is incorporating certain influential Twitter accounts into its search results. For once, it is not Google that first releases an evolution, it is worth noting 🙂 Microsoft is making great efforts to gain market share …

Thousands of influential Twitter accounts integrated into the results …
Yesterday, we learned from Bing’s official blog that the engine was incorporating some influential Twitter accounts into its results. Bing wants to integrate more and more information in real time. Twitter is one of the best reflections of what is being said at the moment, so it seems logical to integrate it into the search results in one way or another.

Training & Co'm

For the moment only certain Twitter accounts are present, a few thousand for the moment. We find for example the following accounts: Danny Sullivan, Kara Swisher or Al Gore. Each expert in their respective field.

New requests to exploit Twitter…
Specific research has been created on occasion. To find a person’s tweets, you must type the name of the person followed by Twitter (Example Danny Sullivan Twitter) or followed by Tweets (Example: Kara Swisher Tweets) or even @ the nickname Twitter (Example @algore). Following a search of this type we get the result that you can see earlier in this article: the Twitter avatar, the latest tweets and a link to the account.

For Bing, this is a first step which will allow him to test the integration of Twitter in his results, the idea being to have all of the Twitter accounts in a short time. This announcement may speed things up on the side of Google. To be continued…
