Social proof: the psychology of persuasion to help consumers decide
Social proof is a mechanism that has existed for many decades. Already in the 1950s, posters were posted plastered in the United States exploiting this concept. But it was in 1984 that Doctor Robert B. Cialdini published a work that made a reference in the marketing community, entitled “Influence: The Psychology of Persuasion>” (in French “Influence: the psychology of persuasion“).
This book decrypts the concept of social proof, which, when applied to the business world, consists in informing consumers of the choice made by other consumers, through customer reviews for example, in order to influence their purchase decision. The consumer appreciates the security of many, and projects himself more easily into his purchase plan if he realizes that others have also taken the plunge, and are satisfied with it.
This educational webinar will give you the keys, supported by concrete examples, to use this “social proof” mechanism throughout your web marketing strategy. Register now for the webinar to know more.
