For your convenience, we offer you to set up your new email accounts at Outlook 2010.
Here are the step-by-step instructions to keep your email running in a few minutes, easily, simply and quickly.
Open Outlook 2010 on your personal or work PC.
On the menu “Archive” click on “Information”You will see on the screen the window shown below. Please click on “Add account” (option highlighted in red).
We are almost done. We need to configure incoming and outgoing mail. This window will appear on the screen:
The first data is complete. Only four must be entered, as detailed below:
– Incoming mail server: It takes the form mail.yourdomain. In our example it is mail.perez.com.
– Outgoing mail server: Same as incoming mail. In our example, mail.perez.com.
– Username: The email account we are setting up. In our example, [email protected]
– Password: The password of your email account.
After completing this information, click on “More settings”.
Then, for the correct configuration of outgoing mails in the tab “Advanced”verify to have selected the port “25”, as it’s shown in the following. Finish the configuration by clicking on “To accept”.
If the SMTP connection with the port 25 that mail clients place by default, try changing it by port 587. This is because there are internet providers (ISPs) that block the standardized SMTP connection port (25).
Click on “To accept”, to terminate the modifications. Congratulations, we have finished setting up the account! To close the Windows wizard click on “Finalize”.You can start sending and receiving mail from Outlook!
