Last March, Instagram announced that it had tested drafts for Instagram stories. Now all Instagram users can save drafts of their Instagram Stories …

This feature could be particularly useful for community managers looking to publish posts at optimal times. Until now, all users could save their stories, either by downloading them to their device or through some third-party apps. But these tools are not native to Instagram and are generally not very practical.

By having your drafts in the app, you will be able to see them as they will appear to users. You will also be able to use all of Instagram’s features in your draft creation process, and post it directly through the app.

The option is enabled when you exit Story Composer halfway through. When you choose to save a draft Stories, a new notification will notify you that the draft Stories are deleted one week after they are saved. The option gives you the additional possibility of creating more complete and elaborate compositions, which you can then share at the best time for your audience.

And other great news, Instagram Stories drafts are now available for everyone, all over the world. They will be saved for seven days before disappearing.
