AMP (Accelerated Mobile Pages) is a new format for mobile pages from Google, in which the content from the site is downloaded through the Google server, and the download speed thus increases many times. Google introduced this format in October 2015 to speed up content loading and improve search quality. According to Google, site page loading using Google AMP is accelerated by 15-85%.
Three technologies are used to create AMP:
AMP HTML. HTML, in which a number of tags are replaced with special variations supported by this format.
AMP JS library speeds up and manages the loading of resources, makes it possible to use special tags.
Google AMP Cache, based on the CDN proxy, distributes all valid AMP pages.
AMPs are shown only in Google Chrome browser only for search results for mobile devices.
